Direct drive or Belt drive configurations
Variations in these configurations are available in order to suit exact installation conditions

Axial fans are suitable for large quantities of air at low pressures. They are relatively cheaper than centrifugal fans. They are easily installed in round ducts and has a reduced space requirement, thus lowering the cost of the system. The impeller has adjustable blades which make it possible to adapt the fan to the requirement changes. Impellers can be supplied in polypropylene, aluminium , mild steel or stainless steel. Belt driven axial fans are used in situations where it is important that the motor is kept out of the airstream due to high temperature or the corrosive nature of the gases/fumes involved.

Adjustable Pitch Axial Flow Fans have been tested and certified to meet the requirements of AS4429:1999. The fans comply with requirements of AS/NZS1668.1:1998

Axial Flow impellers shall be driven by motors with sealed for life bearings. Fan cases shall be of heavy gauge steel with roll formed or fully welded flanges. All cases can be hot dipped galvanised to AS1650 specification or enamel or sandblast epoxy finish.

Impeller blades to be aerofoil section manufactured from nylon, GRP or pressure die cost aluminum.

All fans shall be fully tested in accordance with the requirements of BS 848 Pt1 (1998) for air flow and AMCA 300 for sound.

The AVA adjustable pitch vane axial fan is available with a full range of accessories allowing it to be adapted to many different applications.

Vane Axial Adjustable Pitch Fans are used in applications where demands vary with system or seasonal change. Blade pitch is manually set to increase or decrease performance. Blades are easily adjustable externally at the hub. Available in compact direct drive models.

Clean Air, Fumes, Steam and Corrosive applications

Fan cases are fabricated from heavy gauge sheet steel with roll formed flanges on inlet and outlet. Impeller blades and hubs are of pressure die cast A356-T51 aluminium alloy. Blades are aerofoil design shaped for maximum efficiency and twisted from hub to tip to obtain equal air distribution along the blade.

Highly Corrosive applications. From steel mills to chemical processing to emissions control, industrial air moving and exhausting systems must withstand a growing variety of severe corrosives. Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) fans are built to handle these harsh fumes, vapours, and gases. This fiberglass polyester composition is also impervious to extreme outside environments. Exterior steel components are protected by a special vinyl phenolic coating.

Versatile FRP tube axial flow fans are offered in belt or direct drive with sizes to fit all commonly used duct diameters. While belt driven, arrangement 9, is considered standard, direct drive, arrangement 4, is available on most sizes to better suit the specific installation. In addition to a multitude of standard models, Custom Fans can be fabricated to meet unique requirements, including alternate plastic resin formulations and exotic metal high-pressure impellers.
