Clean air applications including HVAC

Design 51 SWSI and DWDI, Aerofoil and Laminar impellers have ideal characteristics for variable air volume systems. With a smooth, steep pressure curve (graph below), changes in pressure cause only minor changes in volume. The broad, high, efficient curve offers a wide range of selections from each fan size along with a wide operating range. The smooth stable air flow over the entire performance range is the result of the deeply spun inlet cones, impeller cones and aerofoil blades.

Impellers are fully welded from heavy gauge steel to deliver structural integrity and operational longevity. Material gauges for each impeller size have been modified using finite element analysis. Spun steep impeller cones optimize air flow while precision balancing assures dependable vibration free operation. Fan housings are of continuously seam welded steel construction with steel bearing supports. Stiffening braces at close intervals eliminate case distortion due to variations in air pressure and flow. Precision shafts are of machined, ground and polished SAE 1040 to 1045 Steel. Heav Duty SKF or similar self aligning ball or roller type bearings are used as standard.

  • Adjustable volume and pressure by manually resetting blade angle
  • Stable air flow over entire performance range
  • Compact direct drive configuration
  • Horizontal or vertical installation
  • High efficiency aerofoil bladed impeller
  • Efficiencies over 80%
  • Rugged industrial strength construction
  • AMCA Certified for air and sound performance

Rated fan performance has been tested in accordance with the requirements of AMCA standard 210. Rated fan sound performance has been tested in accordance with the requirements of AMCA Standard 300.

The quick selection charts opposite, enable the selection of the most efficient fan for a given duty. To determine the most efficient fan size, locate the intersection of the required volume (m/s) and static pressure (Pascals) on the appropriate graph. The size to the right of this point is the correct selection.
